I'm a contractor, so I want really good protection for my phone. I went with the Otterbox Defender. As a dirty guy in Blaklader work wear and heavy boots, a big hip case works just fine. On the weekends, the case is a bit bulky. I went for the minimalist and just put a Zagg invisishield on the screen.
Here is the problem I found: The clear screen included with the Otterbox defender does not play well with the Zagg screen protector. The two surfaces stick together and make an opaque mess that's difficult to see indoors and near impossible to see out of doors.
My solution was to cut out the clear screen from the Otterbox, and just rely on the Zagg to keep scratches out. (and to make sure I always clip the phone with the screen inside the holster). Problem fixed.
I just wanted to send out this as a warning before you drop $70 on both a Zagg and an Otterbox Defender.
