Overclocking the Note 4

Just wondering do you know how you can root and over clock the processor? Well I was just wondering maybe you could get it to 3.0GhZ, which would be crazy! Not much gulf in performance. But sounds strange saying 3.0GhZ

To overclock the processor on any device, you need the proper kernel. Some ROMs come with their own custom kernel (such as the Infamous ROM for the Note 4) that allow you to overclock the CPU. I don't recommend it as it could damage the processor. With that ROM you can clock it up to 2.9Ghz. Of course you will also need root as well.

The difference in performance between 2.7GHz and 2.9GHz (or even 3GHz) is hardly noticeable, but it will probably shorten the life of the phone. (The faster the CPU runs, the more heat it produces, so everything in the phone is being subjected to higher temperatures - which is the bane of electronics components.)

Given the speed of the supporting components (memory bus, SD memory, etc) the only real benefit you'd be getting is some additional utility as a hand warmer on really cold days, and they make 25 cent chemical handwarming packs that do a more consistent job for a lot longer.
