Package Disabler

CCSWE App Manager (SAMSUNG) seems to be well reviewed but I always worry about such apps and malware. I have previously purchased PD Pro but the constant re-charging has left a sour taste and I am not giving them any more money on principle. I have used ADB for a while now but it is a hassle.

CCSWE looks promising if it is safe.

I get what you're saying. Sometimes it takes Google forever to catch an app that's doing naughty things in the background. If it's not from a well known developer, or recommended by someone I trust it's a no-go for me.

Just took a punt on CCSWE, seems to do what it says on the tin.

Hopefully the dev isn't emptying my bank account as I type this!

unfortunately, that's all it does and not very well. I got a refund. rather spend my money for PD

I'm a little confused, it seems to disable apps as advertised?

What was your issue with it out of interest?

didn't do enough. it gave you the option to "disable" but they weren't really in the true sense, and you could "hide" the icon and that's it. and import and export your list. just too basic.

BK Package Disabler was the gold standard as far as I'm concerned. you could do ten times more things that were important, including block updates, import and export. disable and re-enable all at once and/or by type, and about twenty other things I can't even think of right now. if I could still use it, I would.

Interesting, I have disabled apps like smart things and they no longer show as running when I look under developer options. Same for Bixby, no longer accessible.

My initial instinct was that it was just like PD pro with a different interface.

thanks. you just saved me some money. if that's all PD pro does I'm not interested in it anymore. you could do a ton of things with BK package disabler. I may have to do adb with BKPD's new app even if I don't want to.

Curious, what else do you need to do with a PD app?

The only reason I want PD pro or CCSWE is to disable an app without the need to dig into ADB

all the things I said. our needs are clearly different. leave it at that. you're happy, I wasn't.
