Has anything been reveled as to whether the battery is even removable? Also earlier I had mentioned "bump charging" my phone. I guess I was confused, what I do is top off or add to my battery by using car dock or USB. Car dock and desk charger accessories are a must have for any smart phone.

6 hours on such heavy usage? Works for me. My Droid X lasts at least as long and I don't use 4GB daily (more like 1GB)

Swyped from my DROIDX from Tapatalk.

Lasting 6 hours on such intense usage (4 GB in one day?!) seems fantastic to me. I don't even use 4 GB in a full month; at most, I'll use half of that.

Of course, I may end up doing a lot more once I upgrade to this phone, too, but I find it hard to believe I'd ever do 4 GB in a day.

Most of Apple's competitors tend not to design phones with sealed batteries, because they consider that Apple's weakness. But who knows.

If the battery is big enough, sealed would be OK. Come to think of it, how big is the iPhone battery anyway, checking....looks to be 1420mAh.I don't think we will get 200 hours of standby on the Galaxy though.

i have learned to deal with androids battery problems. i say problems because it is a problem and it needs to be addressed. but the OS is damn good, it literrally does everything i want almost exactly how i want it. i hate to say but, i have just learned to accomodate. i look forward to future hardware and OS updates and revisions to incrimentaly improve this. This nexus is just simply bad ass enough so that if it has better or same battery life than my Inc. im fine with it, not happy but, fine. seriously the phone is sick!!! i posted a photo on one of my industry forums where they were discussing the new iphone. i told them that 8 out of 10 of the new top features i have had for over a year. of course they started flaming, then i posted the side and front render of the nexy and everybody was like DAMN that is bad ass!

I honestly liked sealed batteries for one reason - battery doors inevitably feel cheap and weak. They almost always creak or "give" right away, and it only gets worse over time. That's one thing I really liked about having an iPhone when I used to...it felt sturdy. No give to it when it was picked up.

Suppose that you are on the go, your battery is empty and you haven't got a socket to connect the phone, what do you do?

I always had two batteries with smartphones, how do you do with sealed battery?

First off, I'm not a "power user" when I'm on the go. I mean I've been close to killing my phone on the go, but usually I can get to a charger in time. There are a few other options.

1) External charger - all over Amazon, etc. You charge them, take them on the go, they charge your phone.

2) Conserve power - here's what I'll go with. I'll "power use" it when I'm home/near a charger, but if I know I'm going out for a long time, I make sure to "ration" things. I just don't expect to be able to go out and watch 4 hours of Netflix.

3) Multiple chargers - 1 for home, 1 for work, 1 for car, etc. This also is a pretty safe bet.

Afterthought: I really can't wait for there to be sweeping developments in battery technology. I feel like it gets ignored. We make phones/devices that can do some amazing things...you'd think we'd want batteries that can as well.

I'm waiting this phone, I will buy it at every price, no matter the price but I will not buy it with sealed battery.

Thank you for that.. Clearly someone has too much time and likes to hide under bridges..

I'll bite...

blackmannx, aka "Panda", is a very reliable insider in particular to information regarding upcoming Android devices. His information has been very accurate in the past.I believe he works (worked?) for Verizon, and in particular, he seems to test upcoming devices. He used to have a blog where he would release poems that give out tidbits and details on to-be-released phones. Obviously he does not divulge more than he can. Someone, in particular BMX, please correct me if I am wrong. :)

As far as the battery is concerned, he said in a tweet that the battery lasted 6 hours. He later clarified, in this thread no less, that was with heavy usage (uses 4 GB a day). Given the phone is LTE and has a lot of power behind it, battery suckage is to be expected. However, he also indicated that the battery life is better than the Bionic. Take that as you will...

The display comment was all in the same tweet referenced in the first post of this thread, "too colorful/big". It sounded like a sarcastic comment to me but I don't believe he later clarified that part.

And that is that. Found all that information through Google and in this thread. ;)
