Partitions on windows

Hi, I am messing around with my phone cuz a new 32gb sd card is not mounting, I just realized that the stock 2 gb doesnot mount either.
My question is;
What should i see in windows when i plug my elite in with no sd card? When i plug in, I see 2 partitions F: and I:
After a stock recovery wipe and deletion of internal mem I still see all the crap on the phone in windows (Music Pics etc) isn't it supposed to be wiped?
Partition I; is not selectable with error "Please insert...blah"
is this correct, being that I have no sd card in. In other words with sd I see 3 partitions f i and j
I want this phone to be STOCK so I can flash. ...and listen to my music.

Did you do something to get it working or did it just start working? If you did something please post your solution since someone else in your shoes may find this thread useful when searching for answers.
