I've been having problems lately remembering passwords on computer and having to change ones at work every so often. Usually Chrome saves and autofills but I still need a good password app to store them all in. My co-worker suggested password keeper but it cost 29.99 a year. I need a good free one and was googling and found this thread. Last Pass seems popular is that one you guys would recommend? I don't really need it to fill in on my phone I just need then stored so I remember them when needed.
Edit: C-Net recommended it I clicked on the link above so I guess I'll try it. So I manually have to add each one in the beginning?

LastPass is free for single device type use. What that means is if you create an account on a computer, you can use it on any computer. If you create on their mobile app, you can use it on any mobile device. You would not be able to create it on a computer, then log in on the mobile app (at least not after the initial 30 day premium trial). Their paid subscription allows access from anything, has prioritized tech support (though I'm currently facing a major problem and dealing with them has been hit and miss, but I'm withholding formal opinion until it's resolved), and a few other benefits.
Yes, in the beginning you'll have to manually add every site unless you're already using another password manager that can export your list. You could do it all manually within the LastPass vault itself, but the easier option may be to just visit your sites normally. When you log in, LastPass will pick up on it and ask if you want to save the login info. When time to change a password, you can edit your vault listing and use the password generator to create very strong passwords. You will still have to manually update the sites, though, and have the old password on hand to verify account ownership. So you do need to be mindful how you do it so you don't lose the old password until you're ready.
Keeper does cost $29.99 a year, but with that price you can sync 3 devices. It's handy for me....my phone, wife's phone and my laptop at work. I always have access to my passwords and can easily update & sync as any passwords change. For me, the annual fee is worth it. For others, that might not be worth it. It's all about what each person wants & needs and is willing to spend.
Yes I told my husband about it we may have to pay and get it. I am using last pass now on my phone. But today my Instagram got hacked someone is getting ahold of my accounts. And they changed my email to one similar to the Amazon when I got hacked .ru. It's Crazy! I just changed all my email passwords again.
it may be time to go through and change every one of your passwords on every single account and do two factor where available. you should also do two factor with lastpass. make sure none of the accounts use the same password.
