-Pen Not Working on Part of Screen

Read elsewhere to put a business card inside the case between the phone and the magnet. Worked like a charm for me.

Case magnet affects the s pen.... remove the cover it will be fine

got my new 2014 10.1 2 weeks ago, I have had a dead spot in the upper center of my screen, it has been driving me crazy! Thank God I searched and read this! thank you so much it, was the magnet on my case, problem solved!

i'm so glad I came to this forum for help. This worked perfectly. I have samsung note 2. Question is, how safe are magnetic cases with mobile phones and tablets? Is it ok to simply remove the case when using the stylus pen, then keep it back on at other times?

I'm using a Tab A and my S pen didn't work with my very comfortable magnetic case :( until of course I took it away, and some spots on the screen worked with the pen when with the case didn't.:'(

Welcome to Android Central! I'm sorry, can you clarify what you're asking? It's a little hard to understand. First, is this a Tab A that came with an S Pen, or are you trying to use the S Pen from some other device (like a Galaxy Note phone) on it? Second, what do you mean that the S Pen didn't work with your very comfortable magnetic case until of course you took it away? Took what away?

Hello, and yes, it's my Samsung Tab A which already came with an S pen, and my tablet doesn't detect (on some spots) the s pen whilst the magnetic cover is on, so it works just fine once I took the cover off, sorry if I was unclear before

Oh, I see. Did you try the business card trick mentioned earlier in this thread?

Look at post 23. Not sure if that will work for you, but worth a try. Otherwise, you may have to look for a new case that doesn't have such strong magnets.
