I am having trouble with my original Motorola Droid and Pete Alfonso's GPA17 Gingerbread ROM. When I connect via WiFi, the WiFi will not stay engaged, but turns off and after a while returns to 3G. I have used a WiFi repair program that is supposed to help keep WiFi on, but even it can't keep up with my Droid's turning off the WiFi. This happens all of the time, whether I am downloading an app or not, whether I am surfing the internet or not. It just keeps resetting back to 3G. My WiFi fixer then tries to repair the WiFi connection. It is successful for a short time, then it all happens again. It is VERY annoying and has caused a few sites to stop a download because of it. Those sites have no resume feature, so I never get the file that I am trying to get. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any fix for this? I have done factory resets a few times now with the same problem reappearing. Thanks for your help!
