Just something for thought! Screens protectors can cause problems with the sensors! Especially the thicker ones like from invisashield! Sprint techs recommend not using the thicker ones for this reason of random presses.
Side note about dust under screen!! like i said i have had dust under my screen. Today I said thats it and installed my Nanroid of stock VD(I figured they would turn it on after taking it apart and putting back together, dont want to make plan as day the phone is rooted with custom recovery and all. ) and brought it in to sprint so they can clean the thing out! Good as new!
Yes you can root it and use the nandroid you just made.
Much like the way you just used someone else nandroid of stock to return it to sprint.

Did you ever get your phone replaced jessical1Ok, may have made some progress here... What launcher are you using?? Was messing around with the hubby's EVO today and it did the same thing. He's clearly NOT on Reborn although he is rooted. It was in the same exact spot. We both use Launcher Pro.

i used launcher pro couple months back, now i use GO launder ex, phantom pushing happened on both.
Make sure you dont get a Replacement phone for this.. ONLY get it fixed. They are sending out the new Optimus S with Gingerbread![]()
I have had this problem for months on the stock Optimus S. I took it to the Sprint store, where they suggested wiping it clean and starting over. That helped out a little, but it never took the problem away. My screen has the problem in the lower left corner. I can confirm that it happens with several different launchers and on reborn. I am certain it is a hardware issue. When I installed Wave Launcher, which vibrates a little when you activate it at the bottom of the screen, I could set the phone on my knee and it would randomly vibrate. Now I just tap the lower left part of the screen with a knuckle once or twice when it happens and it goes away for a while.I'd CRY!

Sprint said they would replace it but charge me $36, so I have not taken them up on it.

Was the $36 a replacement fee or another activation fee?
