Phone acts weird

ok new question i got the replacement 1 week in the screen stops working and verizon is talking about a master reset what is that? the physical keyboard works but not the screen I can't do anything with it, any way to save it.

A master reset wipes everything and restores the device back to the way it was when it was shipped. Wipes all the applications on the device to verify that the device is still working and that added software may be the potential cause.

Standard procedure before they send a replacement.

Go to Settings > Privacy Settings > Factory Data Reset. That will let you complete the factory reset. They would do the same in-store.

There is another method to perform the same reset if the phone is inoperable. Power the phone off. Open the keyboard. Press and hold the "X" key. Press and hold Power button till phone boots and displays an Exclamation point symbol. When this appears, press and hold Volume Up and Camera buttons. Use the D-Pad to navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset.

also i couldn't even get to that point I was like wow that's crazy i'm going to try the recovery method.

nope didn't change a thing so new phone it is suppose to receive on monday
