I get that it works best with USB Power Delivery via USB-C but it should not be so horrible without it. With USB-C Power Delivery I get a good consistent 2500 mA charge speed but with my qualcom or other charges it is around 40 to 100 mA, which is basically maintenance.

Anyone else do testing on this or found a work around. When in a car or at a airport or borrowing a charger this system does not cut it.

I've heard of fast chargers.Have you tried a fast charger for your device? Other option is get a new battery for your device.

The phone draws what it negotiates with the charger. If the charger can only put out 5 Volts, and the phone is set to draw only 100mA at 5 Volts unless it can negotiate a higher current (which it can't with a plain old 5 Volt charger), that's what you're getting. The Essential charger can supply 3 Amps at 5 or 9 Volts - the phone tells the charger what to give it..

I use an Apple 29W USBC > USBC. Also Fast Charger plug and cables. I prefer USBC on both ends.

The ipone X on 29W USBC to Lightning is super fast charging.

I'm looking for a portable charger with USB Power Delivery via USB-C. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
