Phone not acting right

Well I went to bed last night with about 80% charge on my extended battery. Woke up 7 hours later and it was completely dead and had shut itself off during the night. Today it started to get real laggy, and then the app buttons went haywire. I would push the text message shortcut to try and reply to my daughter and the email app would open. Cleared the running apps and tried to select the text message app from the app menu and the calculator would open up. Had to reboot the phone to get it to start behaving right.

Been running Thundershed for about 6 - 8 weeks with no changes to the phone, or drops, or any other reason for it to start acting funny. At first I thought it might be a battery issue, but the buttons opening the wrong apps kind of has me worried. Any idea what is going on? If mine is going to die soon, I'd rather get rid of it now. I've got my wifes old thunderbolt that she didn't use very long that I can switch to. I just have to remember how to root it. Already got my back up done just in case it comes to that.

Edit: Forgot to include, when I plugged it in this morning from being dead and finally got it turned on, I got an unable to read the sim card message and had to reboot a couple of times before the phone would do anything. Don't know if that was due to the battery reading 0% or something else.

I would try wiping everything and doing a fresh install of Thundershed and all apps. I had a few problems after running it for a while, though nothing as drastic as what you're experiencing, so I wiped everything, did a fresh install, and manually loaded up all apps rather than use Rom Toolbox Pro to do a batch install. Since, doing that, all of my issues went away, and I haven't had a problem since. Why did it happen? No idea, but it's working fine now.

Thought I would update. I've been keeping a close eye on it ever since this happened and it's been back to normal without me doing anything. I really expected some issues to come back after a day or two, but I haven't had a single blip since everything seemed to go haywire at once.

It did all happen right before a trip to my in-laws house, so maybe my phone was just trying to tell me something. :)

That's weird that it would start and then stop acting weird all on its own like that. I wonder if I would have waited, if my phone would have gone back to normal? Who am I kidding; I'm way too impatient to wait!
