Phone Restarts Self and Deletes Wifi Networks

My phone has a habit (about once every two weeks, at least that I've noticed) to restart itself, even in the middle of using an app. Not all the time, but a couple times (including just now), when it does this, it deletes all my saved wifi networks.

So I am just wondering:

- Do smart phones normally do this on their own? Did something automatically update that required a full restart of my phone?

- and -

- Why did my phone delete my wifi networks?

No a phone restarting like that is not normal. You may need to do a factory data reset. This could help with the restarting and the deleting of wifi networks.
