Phone selling out?

So I just realized I know a guy who works at the store here and while he could not confirm an exact number says its higher than 49 and lower than 51 Hopefully the Verizon stores will be getting plenty of phones so no one has to wait. I was also informed after he gets details on accessories tomorrow, he can put everything I want together for me (with his name attached for the commission) and all I have to do is walk in Thursday morning and pay for it.

I will probably just get it Thursday, but what would be the benefit of getting it though a place like Amazon(I am a Prime member)? Do they usually have phone on release day?

They often do, and for almost $100 cheaper too.

The only real negative with getting one online is you won't have instant gratification.

Figure on a few days for shipping.

But the savings may justify it though.

I don't think I could handle hearing from everyone how awesome it is while I would be waiting a couple days for mine to be delivered. I don't want it to be the end of waiting for everyone except me.

Ehhh it's free overnight at Verizon and I could look into how much it'd be at Amazon. It's free 2 day at Amazon for sure though. I think I could wait until saturday to get it.
And I would NOT go on the forums until I got my phone lol. That would just rack my brain with so much regret for the next two days.

I can't help it. I love my OG Droid but I need a new phone bad. 2 months of having to use the speaker phone is rough on me and I'm sure worse for everyone on the other end.

Nahhh they'd deliver it on the weekend. And if I had to go down to UPS or FedEx to pick it up myself, I'll do that. And no, they'd probably not ship it USPS.

They delivered my D3 on Saturday FedEx. Had to pay for it.

I figured I would probably swing by Best Buy or Walmart tomorrow night and turn on the charm )) and see if someone will sell it to me, I got my OG Droid the day before release that way.

But, If I could potentially save a hundred bucks - I can delay gratification a couple of days for that. With my Amazon Prime account I can get overnight delivery for $3.99 so I wouldn't have to wait long. But I don't want to wait a few days just to save $5 or $10.
