For most of the summer my cell signal is terrible. I'm constantly only getting - 110dbm at best and often down to - 120dbm.
A few more details.
I'm running the most recent Oreo 8.0.
I live in a well populated suburb of Washington DC.
Previous phones I've owned have not been as bad as this.
My home Wi-Fi signal is fine.
Any ideas why or any help?
Thank you.

You can use a couple of tools to track your overall cellular signal quality. The first can be found in Settings -> Battery -> History details (touch the graph on the Battery screen to get this view). The 'Cellular network signal' bar will show you a color-coded breakdown of signal quality (with dark green being the best and IIRC red [or maybe it was black] being the worst). See the attached screenshot for an example.

You could also try something like GSam Battery Monitor Pro https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...etails?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm.pro&token=B7yI6W7P (there's also a free version) to get a different view of the same data. See attached screenshot.

(Note that you need to issue an ADB command to enable advanced statistics like this. It's explained within the application.)
