It is true I called sprint and I have my ticket number. I asked the rep why isnt this OTA and he said he had no idea. Go ahead and call sprint
Your Photon should not be restarting. Something is wrong with your phone. Call Sprrint and have them either fix it now or replace the phone now.
Do not wait.
+1I am having these same issues with my Photon. Can you provide more details about this update? It has to be in store? Did you get it done yet?
I called Sprint and they said it was not a known issue, I also talked with Motorola, same thing, they simply said to return the phone for a new one, which is frustrating since it's likely it will show up again. It is true I called sprint and I have my ticket number. Any time someone says that there is a secret update that only a store can do, you need to be pretty suspicious. That was someone who wanted off the phone.I went to the sprint store with my ticket number and they had no solution. (even though the customer service rep said they had an update) I am having a new phone overnighted to me![]()
If it were a software issue, everyone would have it.So you don't think it's a software issue?
... I almost never use the phone as a phone, so I have no idea whether that was a one-time fluke or a serious problem.
call sprint yourself and go to the store. It is not a known issue. This is not happening to most photons. You should get another one.
Unfortunately, switching Photons is very unlikely to fix it. It is very much a known issue; it's all over the Motorola forums, with replies from Motorola personnel, for the XPRT and Photon for ~ 30 days now.
