Photos download/saving issue

I am using Google Photos app and on the sharing Tab i cannot download any photo or cannot add to library by pressing the cloud icon as well. Gives an error. I am able to do this on a computer though. Don't know what the issue is. Any suggestions?

It says download error. Tried restarting the phone.
