HOW CUTE - is he a German Shepherd? I LOVE that breed!

No, he's Australian Shepherd/Chow mix. We do have a female German Shepherd as well. Oh, and Larry the cat, he's 18 or 19 and keeps the dogs in line.

What colour is his tongue? I always thought Chow Chows tongues were cool, since they're blue/black rather than pink.

I'm going by what the shelter said he was. We did have another "chow mix" that had black spots on the tongue and had a curly tail which both of these dogs have. I haven't done much research on the chow tongue thing.

So he has a black and pink spotted tongue? That's cool. I volunteer at a shelter. I'd love to have a dog, but my landlord doesn't allow them. I could have a cat, butwith highly allergic to cats.

I get to interact with dogs, help them prior to their adoptions and they also help me by showing their affection. So it's a win win for me and the dogs.

I had a Chow growing up, and his tongue was black. He was a sweetheart as long as you weren't a kid. He hated kids for some reason though. He loved my siblings and me, but otherwise we had to keep him away from other kids.

When I was a kid, my neighbours had a Chow Chow called Bear. That was the perfect name, since he looked like a black teddy bear. Yes, his tongue was black. He was friendly to me.

That's awesome that your helping at a shelter. Sad that your landlord doesn't allow dogs. We've applied to be foster's for GSD's since we have had a couple but got turned down.

Thanks! I've always loved dogs, and there are many great dogs available for adoption. Most apartments don't allow dogs. I'll have a dog once I get a house.

They are. This is our second. They are a handful, so loyal. My advice is to have as many tennis balls as possible,.

Helluva job working around those cars! Couldn't tell if those headers were on a bike or not. Very cool shots. Love the Dodge Ram hood ornament too.

Thanks, it a tough job but someone has to do it. Lol

The headers are on a custom built twin engine Harley-Davidson. The Ram hood ornament is on an old Dodge Brothers truck. I forget the year right off, but it is one of my favorites. Beautifully restored piece.
