You can use Sensorly to map your 4G coverage and see what 4G coverage everyone else is finding in LA. There is a map of the real LA coverage in that thread.my wife and I will floating all around the LA area July 1st - July 5th I will report my 4g experience in numerous areas, then we'll be in San Fran
Came in to work today in downtown LA, and decided to turn on the 4G antenna just to see what would happen. Surprisingly, the Evo picked up a 4G signal. I was surprised, since 4G isn't scheduled to be rolled out in LA until later this year. Not that I'm complaining.
It's fast, man. Looks like that $10 Evo tax is paying off.![]()
Yeah, there's signal just south of downtown, and the area around the 405 and wilshire. I haven't found any other 4g areas. Which is kinda weird because a bunch of my clients have wimax all over santa monica, they're getting it from the top of the twin towers in century city. Maybe sprint just hasn't worked out a deal with that particular wimax provide, which I believe is towerstream.
anybody get a 4G signal in the south bay/beach cities?
