Ok, I'm going to try sideloading again in the morning.
Can someone who has done the sideload sucessfully tell me step by step what I need to do, like what to type in the adb so I don't get a bunch of flak from my idiotic Macbook Pro. Thanks

Anyone noticing serious battery drain after the 8.1 update? I was on the Google Pixel forums and there were several people there commenting on it plus several saying parts of their touch screen have been unresponsive.

I sideloaded 8.1 on my Pixel 2 and I'm seeing wifi disconnecting now when the unit is in standby mode. This happening to anyone else? I just went to check it and saw I was on LTE and it couldn't find my wifi network. Turned wifi off and back on and it's working now. Still.. troubling.

Any other issues? I'm debating on sideloading or not.
Though, it would be the same exact file I would get if I waited for the OTA, right?

Wasn't too bad to sideload.
Just make sure to turn on that HAL HDR under the developer options and restart your phone. You can turn off usb debugging and Dev options when you are done (if you want to).

I haven't gotten the update either. Unbranded pixel 2 and pixel 2 XL on T-Mobile.

Yeah I have gotten the update on the first day it was released as well getting the update the next week.
I still haven't got the Dec. update on my Pixel 2 XL but have on my Pixel(2016 sailfish).
I don't really feel like side loading it just yet. I'm pretty sure I will get the update sometime this week via OTA.

Anyone know when I should get this? I'm hoping it solves some of my issues on my 2XL. I'm on TMob and my two buddies on TMob already received their updates. Neither my phone nor my wife's are available for upgrade.

I think it's all normal. I don't think any of us have to worry that we're not going to get the update it's just a matter of how they roll it out.

I have a verizon version as well, and got it. It should roll out soon if it hasn't. I manually updated it btw. If you haven't checked system-->settings for the update, it might be there already
Honestly, I regret manually updating to that latest patch yesterday. Nothing has really changed for me, and the battery definitely drains more on standby now. In 6 hours overnight it went down by 5-6% for me, and that was with airplane mode too, which otherwise could take 1% for me normally.

Sideloaded 8.1 the other day and now I can't get cellular data. Wifi, phone calls, everything else OK.
