So what did it?

I was back and forth because honestly I did not know what I was looking for the first time I walked in and handled the phones. Is the Pixel XL smaller than the Pixel 2 XL? Yes, but not by much and it actually is thinner. It feels good in the hand, I was able to hold one without the VZW sensor on the back and it felt lighter than my XL but manageable in my hand. I did not see much blue at angles and watched a few 4k videos on youtube and the screen looks good to me, the speakers are pretty good as well.

Is it the nicer of the two phones and after handling the smaller Pixel 2 for a while it helped cement my decision.

The top items that matter to me that helped me make this decision are:

1. Battery Life
2. Camera
3. Stock Android - Fast updates
4. Waterproofing
5. Screen size to body ratio


The Pixel 2 XL meets all of those. If the Pixel 2 is an all day phone with 2700mah battery I cannot wait to put the 2 XL through its paces. This pone actually thinking about it is perfect for me. It has everything I care about and has double the storage of my current 32 GB XL.

I'm getting the pixel 2. I haven't had a stock Android phone since the n5. I will be happy just to be back. Only concern I have is battery, but if I can charge for a few minutes to top up or get a few hours of usuage I should be fine. I'll use the money I saved getting the smaller one and buy an extra charger for work if need be. I do wear fitted jeans every now and then (not skinny) and would like a phone to fit in my pocket. The xl is the same size as the 8plus (give or take a mm or 2) which is a pocket stuffer.

By Google Pixel 2 and XL ia the biggest lack of pricing , M the one of the old user of Google Brand Nexus after now using google pixel .i thought to buy pixel 2 xl but unfortunately Google kepted this cost 73K in india. that will break my haert forever. who will take and pay that much cost for full bezzal of pixel 2 model 61K .. no one.. everyone will think y should i buy pixel mobile instaed people will get apple Mobile. its having name too and look like also a 50-70 K flagship mobile. i don't know why google doing to compete with apple where as Google loosing all old user /buyer with increasing the cost of mobile.

u should kept price as per :- 35K for Pixel 2 and 48K for Pixel 2XL.
with this above prices the user /buyer percentage will high almost 70% from now.

Pixel 2 here. As others have mentioned, I like that the phone fits in any pocket, not just some. Big guy, large hands, and the form factor is perfect. I don't mind the larger phones, just these are less bulky in my jeans, shorts, suit.

Using the money I have saved to get the new ear pods and large Google home. $350 from Google for return, ($400 if on Swappa), and $300 from T-Mobile. Home mini (free with Pixel purchase), home reg, and the new large will have them where I need them.

Pixel 2. I believe one of the reviews (The Verge?) Mentioned that the black version of both phones had a different feel to the backs than the white and blue. Anyone confirm this? I ordered both black and white pixel 2 for comparison, I'll keep the one I like best. But if the black is more grippy, I'll just cancel the white before it ships.
