Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL

Tough decision: bigger phone with smaller bezzels and bigger battery or smaller phone with bigger bezzels and smaller price tag. Such a first-world problem!

Today I ordered another Pixel XL Black but this time 128 GB. for some reason I ordered on the 12th and it had an earlier ship date then the Black 2XL I ordered on the 4th of October. I will keep which ever one ships first and cancel the other one.

So you will keep which you get first even if it's the 64?

I am going to VZW tomorrow and will make my final decision, which feels best in the hand.

Obviously the xl 2 has several advantages over the regular pixel 2. That's why its much more expensive. Larger and better screen, and much larger battery. The regular pixel 2 is best though for those who prefer smaller, better for one hand use, etc. Not everyone watches videos and plays games on a phone.

But I think screen size is the difference maker. If the Pixel 2 was maybe 5.5 inches with a bigger battery. More would be choosing it over the larger XL. Same reason why the XL was more popular than the pixel and the 6p more than the 5x.

I went to Verizon and after playing with both phones for about 30 minutes I cancelled my Pixel 2 XL 128 GB and ordered a Pixel 2 128 GB.

I still have a day or two to decide but the 2 XL just felt too tall in my hand and the Pixel 2 felt perfect.

So I have two ordered the Pixel 2 XL 64GB and the Pixel 2 128 GB.

I am only getting one......ughhhh decisions decisions.....

I fell the same way. I prefer ordered the P2XL white from Verizon but it feels bigger than my S8+. The smaller Pixel feels great I'm hand, I'm just concerned with the battery life.

Its only 70 less than the pixel 1 and P2 has SD 835, so it should be better or the same as P1

And oh! Cancelled my 64gb panda the other day and ordered regular white.

Regular white for me too. I am so glad the front is now black and the back is white. I love the white on the back but never liked it on the front.

I'm coming from a 5.2" Moto X (2nd Gen), which is the largest smartphone I've ever owned. Hated moving up in size from 4.7" Moto X (1st Gen). Happy to see an Android flagship phone with 5.0" screen while most others are going bigger. And with Pixel 2, except for the smaller screen and battery, everything else is pretty much the same.

Thought about trying a bigger phone, but went to Verizon a couple days ago and played with both and happy to stay with the Pixel 2, 64 GB in black that I had already pre-ordered. Right size for me.

I canceled my xl order for a 128 white Pixel. Its the size and comfort i'm after, not the looks. Some people do buy for a fashion statement though..hehe

I'm actually really keen on the white pixel 2 for it's looks, especially since the white one this year has a black front. Smaller top and bottom bezels would be nice, but at least there are speakers there :)

I'm going the smaller white pixel 2 mainly because it's cheaper :D though I mostly use bigger phones, I know the time when I went to the HTC 10 for a while it was nice to have an easier to handle phone for a change, so I look forward to using a smaller phone for a while for that reason

I was really leaning towards the 2, but I ended up with the 2 XL because of the battery. I just don't trust that a smaller battery is going to last me through the day if I need it to and can't get a chance to charge it.

I think the XL may have better battery life but I don't think it will be a massive difference. It may be a bigger battery but it's powering a QHD 6 inch screen vs FHD 5 inch screen.

I can see what you're saying with regards to the battery life of the smaller Pixel 2; but plenty of phones out now - mid-range phones, even - have 3000 mAh. It just makes me feel uneasy to buy a phone that doesn't have at least 3000 mAh. But this is why I'm waiting on reviews of the device to see if battery life is good or not.

I watched an interesting youtube video by Mrwhosetheboss where he conducted a battery test comparing the note 8 3300mah battery vs s8+3500mah s7 edge 3600mah and one plus 3300mah. The oneplus fairs the best, the note 8 the second best. Goes to show there is more to it than battery size. Optimization has a lot to do with it too

Well I've just ordered a Pixel 2 64GB. I've had my Pixel XL for a year and loved it but have decided to go back to a smaller phone. I'm sure the reviews will all say the bigger phone is better but I just want something comfortable but equally capable.

I too will be rocking a 64g black Pixel 2. XL seems a bit big and then thinking about adding a case...too big for my medium hands.

You've but the nail on the head. My Pixel XL is a lovely size without a case but adding the bulk of a decent case makes it harder to manage, albeit only a little. I've ordered a regular Pixel this time. Even with a case I'm hoping it will feel refreshing manageable.

I have a smaller OG Pixel (sailfish) Black ,128GB already. So I went with the Pixel 2 XL Panda 128GB to use on my other line
