Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL

Are these phones available in the Verizon store to look at? I've been using the LG V10 for 2 years now, and figured now is a good time to upgrade. I'd like to hold the phones before deciding on which size to get.

It was a hard choice for me. I'm normally a smaller screen kind of guy. I went with the 128gb XL. I'm hoping it won't be too hard to adjust to the new screen.

Yeah like a few folks noted , I'm still using the N6, so the xl is a downsize for big mitts..

Nice. Did you finance or buy outright? I bought outright. Now I'm considering changing to 128 in case I keep it a couple years. Update: Nevermind, I'm sticking with 64. I'll put the $100 elsewhere.

I switched and went black XL 2 64gb

I'm T-Mobile and have been debating between V30 and Pixel 2 XL. I just pulled the trigger on the new Pixel XL in black, 128. I'm definitely buying for software, though, NOT hardware. I wasn't disappointed with my first gen Pixel. Second best phone I've ever had, right behind the Nexus 5. Wished it had 600MHz, wireless charging and a stinkin' headphone jack. But I can't get around always wanting the newest Android update.

I might switch and get the Pixel 2 instead. After trade in my price owed would be 378 compared to 578. Is the XL worth 200 dollars or what? Bigger Battery, Bigger Screen, Smaller Bezels, but other than that what is the value.

One could argue size, the Pixel 2 is easier to handle in one hand.....Theoretically the smaller 1080p screen will require less power so is the 2700 battery going to last the same as the Pixel 2 XL. I think if that was the case I would make the switch more easily. Right now I am staying with the Black XL 2 64GB but I do have the Pixel 2 in the cart and am thinking about making the switch.

Tough call. It really depends on what you do with your phone. In my case I'm on email and SMS constantly, plus typically make/receive 1-3 hours of calls nearly every day. The bigger screen is a benefit for email/text and the battery makes up for the rest.

If you're thinking of going with the smaller Pixel 2 then now might be the time to do it. If reviews come in and these devices are a hit then we might see a backlog if Google isn't tooled up for higher production. Although, the 2 seems like it will be easier to get.

Honestly, I'm kinda digging that Kinda Blue color. It reminds me of Sun and Silicon Graphics workstations from the '90s.

The more I look at the XL, the happier I am that I bought the regular pixel. Something about it looks off to me. I think it's the big side bezels but mostly because I saw it next to a iphone plus and it's very close in size. Impressive because if the 6" screen but I simply would not enjoy using it on the daily.

On the other side....who can complain about spending 600 dollars on a top tier phone? The battery in the XL is just about 1/3 larger than what is found in the Pixel 2 and the Screen Size is a whole inch larger and only adds .3 inches width and 1/2 inch of height.

decisions decisions decisions...

Just have to decide if it is worth it. I use my phone for a lot of media so the extra screen is fully worth it for me.

I can see what you're saying with regards to the battery life of the smaller Pixel 2; but plenty of phones out now - mid-range phones, even - have 3000 mAh. It just makes me feel uneasy to buy a phone that doesn't have at least 3000 mAh. But this is why I'm waiting on reviews of the device to see if battery life is good or not.

Same here. I could get a full day out of the PH-1 without much effort and typically have between 15 to 30% left on heavier days. But, losing 10% physical capacity with the same processor means 5 to 20% instead. Maybe Oreo is better on battery but nothing beats a bigger battery.

...had a 6P@128GB since 11/02/15...installed a new batt bouta month ago...works again as 'fresh' as when i first opened the box ! ...best fkn phone i've ever owned ! ;-} ok, ystrdy (10/04) ordered a wht/blk 2XL@64GB and saw they were, of course, sold out...was wonderin' if anybody was familiar w/the 'backorder' time-line on these ?!! much obliged !

I went XL mostly because I feel I am more likely to regret getting too small of a phone than I am likely to regret getting too big of a phone.

You're absolutely right. At the end of the day, battery specs mean a lot.
