Pixel 2 XL failing.

I thought that I'd be keeping my 2xl for a long time but recently it's started to really bug me, it has so many things failing from a bug on the volume key that just drops to no volume, Facebook comments not loading and various other things. I find myself restarting it most days. Are anyone else having similar problems, I know its 2 years old now but come on.

Yeah I have had issues with mine. I'm on my third one. First had screen burn in 2 months in the other had the camera but that completely killed the camera. I find most of my issues come from pure Android. My wife's note 9 has never had the issues mine has had . It hasn't been except the last few months . I'm actually looking to be getting a s20 when thing calm down .

Yep I've been recently looking at one plus 8 pro, had a one plus before and they're pretty sweet.

I would look it that if but with Verizon the wifi calling might not work and I need that .

How is "Pure Android" responsible for the faults of some of the Pixel 2 XL units?

This one has had issues that are directly from updating to Android updates that only pixels get. Like my Android auto just not working anymore cause this version of Android moved it to system apps before the app was ready to do so and made it not work for over a month. There have been other issues that I have had to use apps to fix . The lastest and greatest updates aren't always the best. And the camera failing on the one pixel was purely from a bug in Android related to how Google implemented a update and killed the driver.

Alot of the issues I have had , came from it updating . Like taking away face unlock . I really liked that update now it's gone .

I have the volume drop issue but I am not ready for a new phone yet.

I know it may seem redundant but have you tried a factory reset? May help you out in regards to your problems. I haven't had any of those issues on my Pixel 2 XL thankfully.
