The Note 8 will be smooth for a couple months just like every other Samsung I've used. Not a dig against Samsung, it's just the truth.

That is speculation.
See the key word being almost. Give your phone 6-12 months then you get your standard Samsung lag, and you'll be cursing that phone. My 2 year old 6P still runs as good as the day I got it. Don't think you could say that about a 2 year old Samsung.
If speculation is my experience with the S6, S7, S8+ then okay. I say it's truth and that's just how TouchWiz works. That is speculation.
Kind of like you saying the pixel is mid range, that's your opinion, and not fact.

My one year old Note 5 was basically just as fast as a Pixel. Just change the animation speed to 0.5 or 0 and it is basically as fast. Samsung lag is always exaggerated. The Pixels are smoother, but that's about it.
Just as fast isn't the same thing. Samsung's lag. They all do at some point down the line, they least you could do is acknowledge that much. You come on here bashing pixels left and right, while not acknowledging issues with your own phone. Stop trolling man.
But if Samsung gave you a fat chunk of change off the phone just for trading in your 3 year old device for a Note 8, would you do it?
So uh ... this thread is about screens. If you want to debate the Pixel 2 VS. Samsung please go to the section below. If you need help w/ a thread creation just send me a PM.

Thanks.
Some people swear it's only barely visible at extreme angles while others (like me) saw an extreme blue tint even at very slight angles.
Hope you feel same way after a year!
That's an acceptable statement when your phone costs 400$, not 950$IN YOUR OPINION. That may hold true for you, but others value other things as well. A phone with an amazing camera, great battery life, and premium quality is enough for some people that a decent display is good enough for them. I'm not sure what is so hard for you to understand about your likes and preferences being subjective.
