Jephanie, that's really impressive!
It baffles me Gary...no....make that spooks me. You know what it takes to get that anything close to that with a dedicated camera, although it's been a few years since I bought a new body so maybe they are doing something similar in camera land. These shots are all handheld but you do have to hold it moderately still otherwise you will get blur.
I pretty sure you can't do this with a DSLR hand held, they don't have an F-Stop low enough, and ISO can only get you so far. On a tripod, some of these shots can be done, but not mine because the lights would blow way out.
Google is actually using your hand shake to its advantage, very cool processing.
What do you mean? I have lenses with have lower f-stops.
I thought the hand shake was to improve the digital zoom resolution but I guess that would also work for Night Sight.
I mean in general, even the lowest f stop lenses that I am aware of will not let in enough light to hand hold that shot. I'm thinking about the prime lenses that most pro photographers would carry.
Out of curiosity, what are the lowest you have? I've like my 1.4 50 mm, which I guess you can get better by 1 stop. My favorite lens is the Nikon 2.8 70-200.
