Pixel 3 or iPhone XS.

Have an opportunity to buy an iPhone XS for CAD1000 (only a few days old) or a pixel 3 for CAD800. Which one should I choose? Currently have an iPhone X which I love. But I’ll be giving this to my daughter..so Loki g for a phone for myself.
Considering the price difference of 200 which one should I get??

I got the pixel 3 over any new iPhone, coming from the iPhone 7.

I have both. Which one do I like best...I lean to the pixel... But it's not much of a lean. Depends on which sudden you like best.

I will say... Moving to Android gestures after ios gestures ... Still not used to it. Face ID over touch.. You realize how good face ID is. Depending on what you like and do.. Most things are a wash. Cameras are closer.... Real close, again.. Depending on what you like. For me the topper was the integration of search, image search, Google lens.... Thinking like that.

Not much of a deciding point with them side by side.

Of course you can wait for the complimentary ' Apple Sheep' comment that will show up in this thread before it's over, and decide then! Good luck... Tough choice

If you have an X and love it, the XS is more to love!

That said how much are you into the Apple ecosystem? If lots, or if most of your family and friends are, then that should be one factor to give some weight to.

But if it is just a phone and you aren’t into the ecosystem much, then a switch to an Android device could be fun and you can do most things almost the same way, and the Android phone gives you the ability to twiddle with the home screens a bit more.

Update on this
Played with a pixel 3 at a store and nothing that impressed me to spend $1000 on this. So decided to get an iPhone XS. The iPhone I was going to get privately had a lot is scratches on screen. So didn’t end up buying it. Waiting for the Black Friday sales here in Canada with carriers.
Unless I get a pixel 3 at a good discount I’ll be getting the XS.

If I had a choice I might have went with the XS as well, here the difference is $400 on contract. I love my pixel 3 but I get your point, ya wait on a new XS.

I'd get the iPhone if u like the X. The gestures are on point. The iPhone is the better device I suppose but I like Android better. I currently have a XS Max and 3xl.

I have an iPhone XS Max and Pixel 3 XL and I absolutely love my Pixel. My iPhone just sits in my closet now lol.

I absolutely love what Google has done with the Pixel devices. However, I keep coming back to Apple. My iPhone Xs has been stellar in all capacities. I am not saying the Pixel is a bad device because it is amazing. My biggest deciding factor is that about 98% of the people I communicate with have an iPhone and I LOVE iMessage.

I have both. iPhone XS Max and P3XL. Both have their strengths and faults. A phone is as good as the software and hardware...both companies need to be laser focused on quality control if they want to be stellar. The iPhone has had hiccups at times. The Pixel has too. But both are great too. And of course the camera is the best on the Pixel.

For One, I would like my photos organized. Creating album s and transferring photos to those albums are much easier on Android. Also with iOS there is the camera roll.Why have photos in camera roll with copies in albums. Just takes up more space

But you can just use Google Photos like you can on Android so it would be the same as it is on Android/Pixel.
