Pixel 3 or iPhone XS.

The main thing you should care about is camera. If you take photos like main thing, you should go for Pixel 3. But if you use camera a lot for video, iphone is the one to choose because the mic on Pixel 3 is very bad

That depends on if the camera is the main feature you need. Cameras were not that much of a deciding factor for me in the past as audio was. That changed for me with the Pixel 2XL because I avoided the OG Pixel because I hated how it looked and the audio was just OK. The Pixel changed that for me. Best Camera experience and better audio than a lot of the competition because of the dongle. As far as video sound I'm not that critical of the Pixel. If you want the best recording audio the LG V series is the way to go but too many other compromises.

I really liked what Google is doing with their software, so I picked Pixel 3 even though XS is a powerful phone.

It really depends on what you like AND what you don't like. What are your dailies?
For me, FaceTime just doesn't work. I wear a combo of glasses and contacts. I'm not going to base my glasses on whether software can detect them. Also, my phone sits in my bag a lot and I want my phone unlocked when I glance at it. I know there are plenty of smartwatches that can connect to the iPhone, but from what I hear, your mileage can vary since they aren't as deeply integrated. Unfortunately, I don't like the way the their watch looks. TicWatch, M. Kors and Fossil for me.
I live in notifications-my bar makes my daughter shudder and I like the way I can interact with Google's better.
Last, NOTHING beats call screening. It has changed my life.
Looking over this, I guess for me, it's more about the software. You should base it on how you use your phone.

Ain't this the truth!

Without having to start a new thread, how do you enable Call Screening? It's not an option on my Canadian Pixel 3...wonder if it's limited to USA.

Reasons I would choose X or XS or XS Max over Pixel 3/3XL:

- superb build quality (X just feels premium than 3)
- great display with brighter screen and color accuracy
- battery life is better in iPhone than 3
- Way less bugs both in hardware and software when compared to 3

Reasons why I would choose a Pixel 3/XL over iPhone:
- Camera, especially you take a lot of low light shots

I have both and literally the camera is the only reason I am holding up my 3XL for. You will be productive om both the devices and Google apps work the same way they do on Android on iOS.
