Pixel 3a. Worth buying at the moment or wait ?

I bought my Google Pixel 3a xl a few months back. If anyone is thinking about buying one, I'd hold off. I tried to do all the research, knew the positives and negatives. Or so I thought. Sure I got the Android 10 update. Nothing exciting. And I had to delete myverizon for the phone to dial regularly. But even before the update, it doesn't have any good gestures unlike the Moto z2 I used to have. Sometimes, when scrolling on webpages, the screen will shake. You have to shrink the screen a bit so it doesn't do it. It doesn't cast without WiFi, unlike my friends samsung. And things I did know, no expandable storage, no wireless charging, Bluetooth doesn't seem to connect to certain things, like a ion Pathfinder 3 we sell at my work. So yeah, good camera, screen nice, battery decent, but is that all there is? I know it was cheaper, but maybe I shod have gotten the Moto z4

I'll test mine out when I get it ,probably tomorrow, but I wouldn't buy a moto z4 over this phone in my opinion.

I got my kid a purplish 3a a couple weeks ago. She loves it and when setting it up and playing with it I thought it was fantastic for the price and honestly I think I'd be fine with one to. If I hadn't gotten my pixel 3 @ $300 off I probably would have gotten one. It also kicks my Pixel 3's butt in battery life. I took a picture of her and a couple of her friends the other day with it and there was a touch of lag between pics but nothing terrible.

I think the 3a is great for the price. I don't think there is anything else out at that price I would consider over it.

So glad she is loving it! Wow, it beats your normal 3 for battery life? That phone (3a) truly is a powerhouse in all senses!

Agree - have a Purple-ish 3a sitting here waiting for the case to arrive (I tend to drop slippery things) - very happy with what I've seen so far and if I had to use just this phone I'm sure I have no complaints

I mean it is but it's also got a more efficient processor and we all know the Pixel 3 isn't a battery champ. Can I get through a day with light to moderate usage? Yeah for sure and it out performs the 3a though it's negligible for my usage. Like I said the only area I've noticed any issues on the 3a is the camera is a little slow to process sometimes but otherwise it's great with a nice size battery.

I'm going to be patient and wait until the announcement in mid October. Only a month away. If they announce a 4a then great, if not, I'll probably buy the 3a straight away.

I haven't played too much with it ,just updated to Android 10 . I'm waiting on my case and screen protector to come Friday for full in depth test.
But off the bat ..I like the purplish color,screen is pretty good,speakers are loud .

Yeah I think you'll find that for average or regular use, no heavy gaming it's a very solid device.

Arrived yesterday. Love the phone & the camera is amazing. Getting rid of my S10e & keeping the 3a. Can't belive the price / performance. Super happy.
