I think charging seems faster. I'll know more in a day or so.

My unlocked P6 at&t just got the update. Golly, the app optimizing sure takes a bit. Not complaining about it, though. Always happy to get updates. Maybe it fixes the battery life issue so that the battery lasts longer than it takes to charge it . Now, I suppose I AM complaining. tee hee

Re: Pixel 6 and Pro November Update Available

Nope. Google Fi. I received an update a couple of weeks ago when I received the phone. This is the second update this phone has received.
Yeah you are right I just checked and had the update there as well. Glad to see this is a new update with hopefully some improvements.

TMobile variant here. Got it last evening. And yes it took forever, I almost thought something was wrong. I mean it was only a 14mb file!

With this unusual phone specific update that has fixed the fingerprint sensor experience (as many have reported) could the large reported returns and cancellations because of the fps been the reason? Will those who did cancel and return because of the bug have regrets now and reorder?
Just curious.

I'm on Verizon and I've had the Nov update since October.
Not this one. This is an update fix for the fingerprint sensor and maybe for a few other issues.
Did you not read through the thread?

Just checked and there was an update, funny phone never prompted me that an update was available.

Is it true that the Pixel 6 line *may* get Face Unlock at some point? It came up on my Google Feed yesterday, I believe.

In my case; no regrets; regret is a worthless feeling. Will I re-order? I always kept it in the back of my mind to give the P6P another chance if google stepped up and started sending out fixes. However, yesterday, when I cancelled, there was no rumor about a fix coming for the FPS or any other problem. I'm thinking that the Dec sec update will have a truck load of other fixes. I do hope that google wants to do this phone right and what can be fixed via a software update can be.

When I cancelled, they never asked; why. However, I would bet there is someone from google who reads this forum (as well as others and probably even other social media sites) on a daily basis and reports bugs noted.

However, I will still sit back and wait a bit longer. If I didn't like the looks of the P6P, I would just jump to the S21 ultra; however, after being someone who thought the P6 was fugly when I first saw it, I have come to really like the look. (Plus I really like white phones

Installing now, hopefully this fixes my fingerprint reader issues. It's so bad I turned the feature off.

We shall see.

There's no way for any of us to know.

If Google are serious about security though, it won't. You just can't get secure biometrics from a single, normal camera.
