Pixel 6.

I like the general design here but also am worried about the in display fps (never owned a phone with one but I've heard nothing but negatives). Three cameras is good to see but the big question for me is whether we'll be getting an improved camera lens or will it be the same one that's been in Pixels for the last few years.
You're thinking of the camera sensor. They would honestly be stupid to keep the same sensor yet again this year. That's another thing I'll be keeping my eyes out for as more leaks occur.

I had a Moto Z4 with an in screen FPS and never had an issue, it always registered and unlocked quickly.

If the leaks are even marginally accurate, it seems this might be an earnest effort to overhaul the line - new FPS format, completely different design, additional camera lenses/formats (?).... Nothing guaranteed, as many of us thought they would have changed the sensor with the 3-series, certainly by the 4, and unquestionably by the 5, but the other broader changes in tandem with other 'leaks' suggesting a newer sensor have me crossing my fingers.

The old sensor was kept around so long because it was dirt cheap, Google's camera software was heavily optimized to get the absolute maximum performance out of it, and, simply put, it did the job. But now other phones have certainly caught up and in some aspects surpassed it (though my 3 XL virtually never failed to take an excellent picture, while my 2-generations-newer S20FE still routinely manages some clunkers).

Something I will keep am eye on as the months click down to pre order time. Also what kind a price tag will be put on it. Also the polished look near the end of vid.

Bring back the Panda colors :D

I have a Nokia 9 Pureview and the in-display FPS only works about 10% of the time and none of HMD's updates have ever improved it. Their face unlock became useless with masks so I can only use a PIN to unlock. So Google going to an in-display FPS give me pause.

My ancient Nexus 6p rear FPS works all the time without fail (but I only use it as a music player now).

They do look really good...

My worry is the asking price!

I definitely like the look. I'm a little worried about that camera hump, as while if it's flat it will be great and stay solidly level while being used on a table or desk, if it's rounded it will wobble like there's no tomorrow.

As to price, My thoughts are that the 6 will probably staying at the 5's $699 price point. I don't see them dropping lower or they'll really hit the floor against the 'A' models, nor higher as that would be an awkward move after the 5 having dropped pricing from the 4-series to immediately reverse direction.

The traditional jump for the XL was normally an extra $100-150 for essentially the same specs. If the Pro has the extra camera sensor, and possibly some other variation like UWB, it wouldn't surprise me in the least for it to command an extra $200. I won't be surprised unless the 6 Pro comes in for less than $899, or more than $999 for the base version. I'm expecting $899, with a higher RAM and/or storage version for an extra $100.

At what will be about a 6" screen, I'd be fine with the 6 at that price. The 6 Pro would have to really deliver with whatever the 3rd lens (presumably telephoto) is, or have some other compelling features distinguishing it from the 6 besides just a slightly larger display. And boy oh boy, am I hoping they have 'em.

You're not taking into account the fact that the pixel 5 is using a mid range processor, where's every other mainline pixel device used a flagship processor. This was the main reason for the drop in price with the 5. This new device, if it's true it's going back to flagship tier, will most likely be a higher base price than 699. I'm going to bet 799 for the smaller device, and I'm betting that low only because of the rumors that this device will use Google silicon instead of snapdragon.

Interesting. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens with the 6! It certainly does look like it's going back to being flagship calibre.

I think it will be premium, I would say they would want show off what they can make , then maybe down the road midrange

I think it's more of a question of will it actually perform like a flagship processor and be able to keep up with the snapdragon equivalent. It's like Samsung's exynos processor doesn't really perform nearly as well as it's snapdragon counterpart. I'd highly doubt googles first stab will be better than a top tier SD but i am hoping it's at least close

It's been in the works , and they had some time with it , I don't think it's aiming to best eExynos or SD but have hardware/software work together like Apple
