Pixel Always on display?

Looking at alternatives now my note 7 is due to be refunded. Can anyone tell me whether the XL has an AOD?

It does not. It still has ambient display, which turns the screen on if you pick up the device or when you get notifications. It also has a RGB LED for notifications.

Left side of the speaker grill on the Pixel, not sure on the XL yet but probably the same.

Closest I found to the Moto display which is what Samsung based theirs on is an app called dynamic notifications.

Yeah, that's true. Its just that I'm more concerned bout if the pixels have them natively

From my experience, third party apps for these don't work as well as stock
