Pixel being sold by ATT FYI

Looks like speculation until we see otherwise. I would think the exclusivity would be a little longer before allowing other carriers to sell it.

They didn't sell the Nexus 6, and it shows up on my account:

Rumor was saying 1st week of November (i.e., last week), now it's saying on Thursday. I'll believe it when I see it. I really doubt Verizon signed on for an "exclusive" that lasted only three weeks.
Just want to point out that AT&T most definitely sold the Nexus 6. Remember how the AT&T version had its own custom boot up sound?

Huh, I would have sworn that they didn't sell it. I purchased it unlocked.

Question is will you get all of the AT&T benefits with the Pixel as previously "bring your own devices to AT&T" did not if they were not AT&T phones

What benefits are those? We have both unlocked and AT&T-purchased phones in our household, all running on AT&T. I don't see any material difference. Unless one has a thing for apps like AT&T Locker or AT&T Navigator.

Features like HD Voice, VoLTE, WI-FI calling are not available on unlocked phones

This. AT&T doesn't like to play ball with unlocked phones for some reason.

Yeah I think its time for a carrier switch. I'm a little tired of them pushing Direct TV on me every chance they get lol.

I'm not even their customer and they push Direct TV on me nonstop so leaving might actually make it worse!

I'd forgotten about those, primarily because I have no real need for them. I'd undoubtedly feel otherwise if I had a lousy connection at home for calls.

Yep. It goes on a case by case basis for sure. I still really dislike/hate the fact that AT&T doesn't play ball. All those features are built into Android and all they have to do is allow them to work like T-Mobile / Verizon does.

Funny, I have chatted with them today and they said no. It will never be available. They are very inconsistent and it sadly does not surprise me. Most likely buy it from Google when they finally get it in stock, hopefully before New Years. LOL

I wouldn't trust anything reps say anyway. A lot of the time they are misinformed.

Yep, they usually have no idea. And if they did know AT&T would start selling the Pixel soon, I can't imagine they would be giving the OK to tell people. I'll still wait for Thursday to see an announcement, but I am not holding my breath.

You can buy a Pixel from Google right now and use it on AT&T! I'm using my Pixel on T-Mobile. :)
