Play store opens randomly to 'item not found/retry' screen

This is all quite odd. I'm glad the factory reset solved it. There's a Google Play Services update that's been rolling out recently, which can cause some temporary hiccups in Google apps, including the Play Store. But usually, you'll see a warning notification that says a certain Google app couldn't access the server, and that Play Services needs to be updated.

Well its been several hours now and the issue seems to have resolved itself with no specific action on my part. I suspect a google services or similar framework update in the background fixed the issue.

I am getting the same issue on my Gionee F103 Pro mobile. Is the issue related with mobile or app..I already contacted service center n got my device hard reset, still facing the same problem. Please advise if anyone have any idea about the problem.
