please help...ATT e980 -Erratic battery charging/continuous powers on/off

1. when unplugged from charger battery indicators goes from 100 to 65 % in 5 min

2. will shut off and turn on continuously

3. works fine when plugged in

4. says it charges from 75% to 100% in 3 min on regular charger

5. phone is exactly 1 year old

please help

ATT store said seemed like a software issue...is it just a dying battery?

Had the same problem

The battery has bad cells. I replaced mine and all is good. Found a cheap one on amazon.
