I rooted my rezound, then replaced the vold.fstab file to read external instead of internal sd. worked great but I tried to load nandroid backup with twrp and because I changed the vold file now I am stuck as it wont read the internal storage where everything was when I first made the backup. then I tried to install another rom and now I am really stuck I have access to twrp, Hboot and that is it. I am a newbie can't afford another phone and don't know what to do. please help! I don't know what version of anything I have. I can't find any stock ruu and if I did I wouldn't know how to fix the problem anyway

10th post down has some information on downloading RUU (ROM Utility Update) to get the device restored. You'll need access to a computer (windows) and make sure the pc can see the device when plugged in. I'm not sure which RUU you need to install, but does one reading on the source links and online to know what update should be applied.

ok tried it, and it didn't work. probably because now my phone boots from emmc and the internal sd is not being read. I added a partition and it show internal sd now but it is the emmc and not the real internal sd. not sure how that works but still VERY stuck. am I going to have to s-off to fix this or am I able to fix this?

Probably not. What version of TWRP were you using? Try flashing (or Fastboot boot) to the current version (2.6.1.0) or CWM recovery and wipe everything, including internal sd and format it first in Ext3 then back to Ext4, then wipe everything again, flash a new ROM, and you should be good to go.

And unless you are S-OFF, you can't flash an RUU for this, you are on the OTA radios and hboot, no RUU available, and hboot will prevent an older RUU from installing.
