Podcast/Music apps stop playing after "non activity"

so i recently got a UE roll...i linked up my phones blue tooth with it and i'm running into a problem. i can't determine if its the roll thats the issue or my phone.

heres the issue: i tend to listen to music/podcasts at night while in bed...but the speaker at some point is turning off. typically i'll fall asleep so i'm not exactly sure when...i have read in the roll manual the speaker will shut off after 15 minutes of "inactivity" but i'm not exactly sure what that means. i mean its a speaker...shouldn't it be playing whatever for however long?

i was thinking maybe once a podcast finishes then as it sits there maybe the speaker turns off...but i had the sirius xm app playing one night and same thing happened.

i know the zenfone 2 has some battery saving type functions...could it be something with the phones settings?

If the phone is plugged in it doesn't seem like it'd be a power saving setting. Do you have another Bluetooth device to test with?

I use a set of BT headphones and they work fine once they are connected (sometimes I have to turn BT off and on to get them to connect).

Maybe try it with the phone speaker and see if the same thing happens. At least that might indicate if it is a setting or device problem.

so i played the sirius xm app just through my phone speaker last night...it stopped at some point in the night...but i think thats an app issue because the app had a pop up that asked if i'd like to continue to listening
