Polaroid Tablet & Amazon App Store Not Working

My nephew received a Polaroid tablet (PMID705) with Android 4.0.4 for Christmas. It doesn't have the Google Play Store and I tried to install it but that failed. So I'm assuming it's not compatible/certified for Play.

Lately, when he picks the Appstore icon, the screen is just black -- with the exception of showing the Back, Home, Menu etc buttons and the clock.

I even tried rebooting it and it still does this. Any ideas?

Try installing the latest Amazon Appstore version by going to Install Amazon? Appstore on the tablet's browser, downloading the file, and opening the file to install.

Thanks for the assistance. It installed and seems to be running. I'll have him login in the morning and try it.

Hopefully it'll be fine.
