Pop up notifications

any ideas on how to disable the popup notifications on Nougat. the only way i found was to silent the notification for a certain application but that mutes the sounds too. i have the Samsung S7 Edge.

i just need to disable the popup notifications.

Here's an article (sorry, not from AC) about the notification controls in Nougat. Some may not be available on every device (**cough** Samsung likes mucking with this stuff **cough**) but it's a start.
