Hello

I'm looking for an Andoid application that could connect to a couple of POP3 accounts I have, and notify me of incoming e-mails, ie. what Gmail does for its own servers.

Currently, I have to manually launch the browser and check the POP3 mailboxes.

Does someone know of a POP3 notification application?

Thank you.

If you don't mind my asking, why are you still using POP3?

Most commercial email supports IMAP as well. If you setup your IMAP account in the GMail app (and most any other), you can set a scheduled sync to occur from every 15 minutes to once per hour.

N4Newbie us right. You should be using IMAP service if it's available. Then, with most services, you would have immediate push email notifications and other nice advantages.

And he's right that if you're stuck with POP3 all you can do is setup your email app to make scheduled email checks, say, every 5 min or every hour. Obviously, there more frequent the checks the more battery power and data is used.

There's no such thing as a POP3 notification app.
