Portrait mode selfies not working.

I agree it's worth a try, but my guess is that it won't help.

I have already done a factory reset and that is as far as I will go. I will learn to live without portrait mode selfies until a software update fixes it..if ever.. Life could be a lot worse. LOL
 
Verizon unlocked 11.2.44 it's been around 3 hours so far.

Well that is encouraging. I am on Verizon locked and my camera version is 11.0.02.44 Is that your version also? You said 11.2.44 so just wondering if you left out 2 zeros.

Just to gather more data: Have you tried with other faces? Tried portrait video selfie mode as well as portrait photo selfie mode? Do you have any other camera apps installed? What's your full firmware version number?

Hi to answer your question yes it does work in portrait mode selfie video. But it still does not work in portrait mode photo selfies. What does that suggest to you?

Just another increment of evidence that it's a software bug rather than hardware. I'd guess there's a decent chance it'll be fixed within the next one or two firmware updates, although it's far from certain.

I spoke to ubreakifix. The told me they can reflash the firmware but there is no guarantee it will fix it. Do you think that is worth trying? Or do you think a future Samsung update will probably resolve this? The ubreakifix guy said that it was possible that my Feb 8 software update corrupted something with the camera software and that is why a factory reset did not help. Thanks.

Definitely worth a try , if you need help on how to to do that I can help , no need to take it in for them to do .

To me I think a future software should solve this , especially make sense it was working before a update and now doesn't. Your welcome!

Thanks for the update. That is great news it has been been working two full days for you so far right? That gives me some hope that a future update will fix mine.

Returned my old S21. Received the new S21 today. And the selfie portrait mode?

It works!

For whole 3 hours! After 3 hours, it started to do the same thing! I am too disappointed. I was Samsung's loyal customer since S7 edge. I am done with them. Returning the new phone!
