Otterbox Please

Posting mostly for the Droid Eris Otter Box case but have been running the leaked 2.1 since its release and its doing pretty well only have had a few hiccups Slacker radio has issues if too many apps running in the background and my g-mail would not update if I had wi-fi on and I didn't have a good signal. In other words it would not just revert back to 3G to get the mail. Once I turned off wi-fi gmail worked just fine with 3G. Have been a crackberry addict until about 3 months ago when I got the Eris sorry to see that the Eris is going to be replaced already.

The Eris will be replaced but that does not mean the end of the Eris. It will be around a long time especially when it gets the official 2.1 release...

When the release is official, either this version or something hopefully less buggy all copyrighted games should be released back to us. This is my understanding.

UPDATE - This is from the Phandroid bug/fixes list for the update "Apps that don't show in market and/or don't work
Any copy protected apps will not show on the market till vzw sends the update info to google."

SAME HERE I WANT THE UPDATE WITH SKYPE but winning the case wont hurt lol but if i get the update im happy I just hope i can go from leak to update with out a problem

I think the update is coming very soon, however, im a little sad to know that the eris is already being retired in leau of the incredible. I assuming this will be the last major update we (eris owners) will recieve! I just hope if helps the lag!

Yeah hate lag as an online gamer i hate lag and it makes me mad when its on my fone hurry wit the update

I doubt the Eris will be forgotten.
But then again, we've never had this surge of Android before!

I am just wondering if VZW is going to be able to make it OTA for the eris or make them go to a store.

if they make use go to the store to update what are the people with the leak spose to do? are we going to just end up stuck with 2.1 leak cause i dont think the verzion store will upgrade a eris with the leak on it with out complaing or something

Yeah thats part of why i didnt do the leak they will problably give you a lot of bs or give you a charge

I believe Sprint has, in the past, made customers come into the store for their firmware upgrade on the Samsung Moment (android phone). This could lead to them not upgrading your phone for some reason or another along the lines of voiding your warranty by installing a leaked os.

Yes. At first Sprint only upgraded the Moment on site. Silly way to do live bugtesting before they made a downloadable image.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the upgrades to 2.1 for both the hero and the eris were in store only at first. They way the phones interface with the radio has completely changed and there may be some "issues"
