Talked to the Regional mgr for sprint in san angelo tx today at the sprint repair center and he told me that they were talking about that earlier this month and told me to expect it late march early april........straight to 2.1

they never pushed anything since of Nov of 2009 they stated 1h of 2010 do you know what that means?.... they never confirmed or said anything about a Feb 22 deadline. check your sources before complaining... there actually right on track

Talked to Sprint Tech Bench where I'm at, and they are aware of the new OS and the impending drop - however no firm date. They did say they'd call me though...guess that's what I get for getting on the tech's good side Also, Sprint used to email customers when OS updates became available for their phones...Not sure if they're still doing that though. I know I got em when I had my blackberry.....

update !

i did the maintenance update a few days ago and i am so glad it worked .i did it via my laptop and was up and running in no time at all.i did have to replace all of my downloads ,that was the only drawback.I am really happy to have the update because now i don't keep dialing 911 everytime i try to unlock my phone anymore either,so all in all a good day ! i love my moment ,i'll love it even more with 2.1 ! peace.

I kinda like that Sprint doesn't give us an exact date cause when it does drop it's a pleasant surprise

not really it pisses me off with the vague answers lol.... they act like there working on something so secretive when the next update is couple months away...

I don't mind the lack of a date - simply because if it doesn't happen, then I'm not disappointed. I hate to *know* something is going to happen, only for it to NOT happen. I'd rather be surprised and not disappointed all along...but that's just me

Ok, I'm sure I'm not the only one following AC on twitter, but for those that aren't, they just mentioned the 24th of March as being announced by Sprint as an update date. This certainly fits with everything we've heard so far for 2.1, so we may be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm pushing what contacts I can from the office for more details, so stay tuned ladies n gents...

Sweet that is nice to hear. And my contract is up on March 27th...So I'll be lookin to get a new phone then. So sounds like i may get to start out on 2.1 Although since I'm probably ordering online or something, i might have to do update myself, not sure they would have the update already on there that quickly. Also it does mention in the tweet that the exact version was not confirmed. So lets hope it is the full 2.1 update, and not something else.
