This is certainly not on Google, but squarely a Motorola/VZW change. Maybe they really, really believe in their 4G network?

I definitely get worse battery life when my phone is set to lte/cdma in a 3G only area. At idle over night if I leave 4G turn on at home which is a 3G only area I use nearly twice as much battery.

The application LTE On/Off brings you to the same menu as *#*#4636#*#* so its actually easier for many of us if needed.

What is the difference between CDMA auto (PRL) and just CDMA only?

I use the app notification toggle and it has the option to use it to get to the radio choice menu.

I have a question, I know its not regarding the RAZR MAXX, but I just purchased the Spectrum 2 and Im having the exact same issue with not being able to turn off my 4g and go to only 3g (or CDMA only) I tried calling the *#*#4636#*#* and it said my action could not be completed and to contact customer service (which I tried and they told me they couldn't help) any sage advice for a frustrated customer?
