Post Photos Taken With Your M9!

I was actually playing around with Camera FV-5 this weekend and found that pictures I took with it had way less noise when I zoomed in 100% as opposed to the HTC Camera app. I noticed this because the pictures on the wall and on the coffee table in my living room were all blurry on HTC App zoomed in 100% but I could make out what they were on the FV-5 app zoomed 100% even though in both cases it was a picture of the whole room itself. I think it is because of FV-5's auto focus before capture feature. It makes for less blurry photos in general and greater detail when you zoom in even though you may think the photos look the same at first blush between the two app photos. I am hoping HTC can fix their auto focus in a future update.

Thanks. I'll check it out. Do you like it enough to take the place of the stock camera app?

I bought both the camera and the video app. There are things I prefer about both. There is a stabilization feature on the camera that does make it less jittery than using HTC app. Not sure if it is in my head but it is an observation. FV-5 interprets indoor light better as well. I took a picture where the light source was a potlight and it looked yellow with the HTC app and white with FV-5 which was correct. It also shoots video in a higher quality than the HTC app as well. It's not perfect but it does show that there are problems with HTC's software that can be corrected.

Also, for anyone wondering why the camera app drains the battery so much. It is because of the geotagging. If you turn it off it will improve your battery.

It didn't take RAW photos for me. I'm now rotating through four different camera apps, selecting based on need or mood. I wish all apps supported exposure and focus lock.

It takes RAW photos for me. Do you have the latest software installed? It even allowed me to open it in Gallery or Photo Express app.

Interesting. I'm on Sprint. I have latest in Play Store. And have a message: "This device does not support RAW". I have even restarted the phone to see if anything changes.

Manual Camera Compatibility app says not a single manual setting is available on my phone.

The current software version reads: 1.32.651.30 (Sprint)

Interesting. I think a recent update broke it. I used to be able to shoot in 4k video and now can't. I also used to be able to shoot in RAW and can't now. The other thing I find annoying about FV-5 is it doesn't rotate screen orientation so some videos ended up upside down.

Those look pretty good. I especially like the 2nd one. Sure, if you zoom too far in there is noise in it, but it looks good true to size and it prolly looks amazing on the phone.

EDIT: Did you get your data problem fixed?

Yeah i hate to zoom unless I have too. Well not really, im trying to decide if its the building im in. My M7 did fine here, so idk. .

This is nothing special. Just having a chocolate Porter the other night after work. Randomly took a pic of my bottle opener. Only light in my room was from my TV.

Taken at full zoom. Pretty decent considering you can make out the car that I'm driving (picture taken at a red light).
