I understand you have the 5A (which I also have). When I went to Best Buy and put both the 5A and 6A at max brightness, the difference between the two was marginal. This is not necessary a bad thing as the 5A gets plenty bright enough to be able to view the screen in sunny conditions.
In general, I fail to understand the need to have brighter than sun displays that many favor. While it's nice to have a bright screen I rather not burn through my retinas! On my 5A I always keep the brightness on auto and set it right at the middle when I want to manually change it. That's good enough for me.
After I use the 6 for a bit (once it actually delivers) I'll then decide whether to return it and stick to my 5A. Unfortunately there is a $30 fee for restocking fee charged by Google.

Pardon I said 6A and I meant the 6. I played with both the 6 and 6 Pro at Best Buy but since I purchased the regular 6, that's what I compared my 5A to.
The 6 Pro gets plenty bright but I feel I got more bang for my buck for the regular 6. I ordered it in Seafoam (yet to ship). If I feel it's not that significant of an upgrade I may just hold on to my 5A until next year. I don't need a new phone but I just caved in after Google's presentation!

Funny b/c other reviews I've seen, the video looks great! Maybe I'm easier to please lol. I also don't plan on recording stuff like guppies so not sure if his example will pertain to my life that much.

I'm surprised at how many reviewers claimed that the Pixel 6 Pro didn't have a macro mode when it was there all along. Simply because Apple goes into macro mode using their wide lens, they assumed that Pixel would use that lens also for macro.
I was really disappointed, until I learned during Android Central's review that Pixel has a macro mode, they simply use the telephoto lens for that mode.
The macro photos I saw looked pretty good, though it wasn't a very thorough comparison. Does this mean that the Pixel 6 really doesn't have a macro mode since it doesn't have the telephoto lens?

I don't need the phone to be best at everything.. But everything I've seen there has been way more positive than negative .. all the reviews of course focus on the camera and video now ... I've seen some negative parts where I looked at the photo and I was happy with it.. Lol I'm no expert but I'm sure plenty of us will be very happy.. Now let's talk about Pixel extras taken for granted like call screening.. Dictation..Google assistant.. when you start using this daily you won't be worried about the nitpicking.. Now all we need is our phones and hopefully no issues with quality control..

Why no face unlock?! That's a huge disappoint for me as I've become spoiled by using it. I don't use a fingerprint scanner, bring my the face unlock!

I wanted to have both.... I'm not a fan of onscreen scanner.. Using the Folds this year they nailed it with the power button scanner... This will be a step back from the rear Pixel scanner IMO
Has anyone seen anything about signal quality or reception ?
After all the issues I had with the 5 and using a modem other that Qualcomm I'm concerned to say the least.

I have not seen any yet but I think once we get past the camera and video reviews we should start seeing some better overall reviews on it
