Post Your Droid X Screens!!

Depends on what you are trying to do. You can do lots of customization by getting a launcher. I'm using Launcher Pro Plus. You can get it free or pay couple of bucks for the plus version that comes with bunch of nice widgets. As for the icons I use 'desktop visualizer' app, you can find it in the market for free. Lemme know if you're looking for something particular, may I can help.

thanks for the reply...yeah i picked up the full launcher pro and desktop visualizer. i have been able to use some of the full color 4x1 icons for example and i like its setup now...i was wondering if it was as simple as continuing to do that. the text icons are just that, using an editing tool to make a simple icon with text and save it? that clock was slick too...its just a widget? (i'm not sure the wife would be to crazy about that background tho, however it is quite nice.)...thanks again.

Yea, the text icons were made in photoshop and saved to my phone and then I used DV. The clock widget is called D-Clock and the battery indicator is called BattStatt. Both free in the market. Might wanna check out clock widget called Tajm that displays the time in words, kinda cool and also free in the market. As for the wallpaper, my wife is not to crazy about it iether, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do ;)

solid...much appreciated...gives me something to do today rather than coding.

thanks sniffs too for the reply as well.

Thanks, did some looking around, kinda tough sometimes on the X when I get a bad signal.

Anyway, use "Desktop Visualizer" app to make Home Screen shortcuts, just download "Text Icons" from any of these forums. From the home screen add a DV widget then select the icon from your gallery after you download, I made a dir on the sdcard named "MyIcons" and put all the .png files there.

The dock bars you see are Launcher Pro, which I bought yesterday, coming from ADW, Launcher Pro is a little more flexible, and the lack of dock bars is a pia.

Guess the real question is where to find those text icons?
