Pre-ordering with Best Buy

Congrats to those that have their phone in hand as I admire from afar as my preorder is stuck in preorder with a pickup date of Friday. Here's hoping lol.

I'm not worried about it. My order says pick up on release day. I'm just chucking it up to my best buy not receiving their shipment yet (shrugs). Last time I pre-ordered and picked up it was available on release day. Here's to hoping it all goes smooth lol.

Yeah same mine still says processing pick up on the 23rd. Hope it comes in early enough that day as I'll be going away that morning.

But on the front it says pick up the 30th. Maybe I’ll see some movement. I don’t know which to believe 23rd or 30th.
Does anyone else’s have 2 different dates ?

Did you just go in the store when they opened, how does pickup work exactly for them??

I'm not sure if each Best Buy is different...
When I pre-ordered my Note 7 from Best Buy. I showed up about noon on the day of and it wasn't there yet. They said it would be in that day and they will call and/or text me when it comes in.
I left disappointed (as I watched them set up other Note 7 preorders) I drove 20 minutes home, Got in my comfy clothes and the phone rang!!! I changed my clothes and off to BB I went lol
Had I just got lunch or something else but the disappointment made me go home!

They told me they are designated by name and order number. They can't just grab a pre-ordered phone in the right color and give it to someone who is waiting for their pre-ordered phone to come in...

Just the phone. I’ve never been asked for anything else. You could call and ask them.

I ordered August 16th. But keep in mind, in store preorder have a huge dependency on the inventory reserved for that store on launch day. So I don't think you can compare progress from store to store.
