Pre-Orders/Stores that Confirm Availability

Not saying you're lying, man. I spoke to a woman at that location and she did say they were notified that the 9th was the date. She did also mention it was tentative, but seemed pretty sure they'd see it there on Friday. I'm hoping that same word trickles it's way down here to Baltimore, MD.

Its cool. I know its hard to believe any info right now. But it seems like alot more are starting to verify 9th as the day and might be a day before they announced it then release it.
So hopefully everybody should have info down the pipe on Thursday or Wednesday.

Yeah, it's starting to look possible. She said they received any email stating that was the launch date. I would assume the only reason they're not announcing it yet is because they need to make sure they can get the stock out to all the stores in time. So it looks like we're really, really close.

Yea, I've heard way too much stuff from different sources all over and they are all saying the 8th or 9th. I believe it is vzw's every intention to release it at the end of this week, so long as something doesn't come up such as not being able to get the stock to all the stores as you said.

what are you guys saying when you call the stores?

Just call different stores in your area and say, "I heard that the galaxy nexus is going to be released this week. Do you know when you will have them in store so i can come and purchase the phone?"

Usually, they will either put you on hold to check or they will confirm or deny it right there if they are up to date on the device. if they sound hesitant ask to speak to a manager who might have more information.

Aren't they suppose to be launching close together. That's a low blow to let that launch first then galaxy lol. Man their getting every penny on those Droid lines.

I don't know why the hell anybody who comes to these kinds of forums would care about a phone that has a locked bootloader. Locked bootloaders = anti-development which is anti-android. It's a slap in the face to all of us rooters/hackers/modders/developers. It is against everything people like us (maybe just me) stand for.

I asked about GN. He said no word yet but that it had to be close due to them having the accessories in the back. So basically no info at all. That's what I read but yea. I think the white razr also maybe gets released then too so a small window for nexus its all good as long as I can have one. Lol

just called 2 VZW Corp stores in Lexington, KY they have no release date as of right now.

Yeah, I saw that. Super pissed as I was going to head up there tonight. I may still go since I heard the employees there have GSM Nexus devices.

Agree. Man I know moto makes good phones and their radio is very good. (IMO) but wish they would unlocked the bootloader but that's not gonna happen soon unless Google makes them and makes a moto nexus phone but wishful thinking .
