PRL Swap for the V on VM (latest PRL for Sprint Towers).

Just curious, when you look at "PRL" do you think/say "pee are ell", or "pearl"? I have found myself doing both interchangeably.

Haha I've found I exclusively say "pee are ell" probably because PRL is usually all caps...

Was there a question there? And did you not search? If you're running cm7 you need to boot into recovery

Hey, i need help. I got my MSL code from that VM site just fine.
But in Device Manager, i couldn't seem to get that port info. I found my COM# in my modem driver, but that doesn't work in QPST.

Im pretty sure I'm doing something wrong...

Have you tried plugging the phone into the computer, then turning the phone off (while it's still connected)?

Or if you're running IHO then you have to restart into recovery mode instead off turning it off

Im running iho. I tried booting into recovery and my computer wouldn't recognize it, so i downloaded the drivers from the OP and installed them and it comes out the same as before... i cant get my port number, unless i get it from the modem and that one wont work.

New Sprint PRL 51083 is out. Does anyone have a friend or family member with a Sprint phone they could get it from? I'm sure everyone would appreciate it.

My girlfriend has a sprint phone, but it's the EVO 4G...idk if she'll even get the PRL update

Definitely wouldn't hurt to check if you/she has time. Here's the instructions for updating PRL on Sprint Android phones in case you/she has never done it before. I know I haven't!

For Sprint, there are two options. The first is to contact Sprint Customer Service and get your account approved for an update and then dial *2 and follow the instructions. If you have an Android device, you can also check your PRL by tapping Home > Menu > Settings > System updates > Update PRL.

Yeah I can try. I believe she's on 60681 right now...so I'll have to check. I'm running 20281 which is apparently only supposed to be for phones running in the 800Mhz band but eh.

I went to update my wife's and I phones to the 60683 PRL...I noted something interesting while flashing it...in the QPST tool, my phone's "Overload access class" was a 3 and on the other phone, it was a 7. Anyone know what these mean? Thanks in advance.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/windows-mobile-hacks-tweaks/11610-common-nam-performance-tweaks.html: says "ACCOLC - Access Overload Class - This code determines your priority to make and receive calls on the network. Higher the number, lower the priority. Lower the number, higher the priority. Emergency Services reserves 0 + 1 (please do not use these) leaving your choices to 2-9. Years ago we began defaulting this code to the last digit of a users MIN to help assure equal priority seeding."

Okay. I am running IHO BACKside, and I rebooted into recovery, yet I am still getting the "failed...phone does not answer" I have my COM assigned to #1, tried all available between 1 and 10 (only 1,2,3 and 4 are open) to no avail.... ??

There's another user that was having the same problem this week. I cant remember why it does that /: Ill speak to him and see if he accomplished anything.
